Do you sell both new and refurbished products?

What is the advantage to buying a refurbished product?
Refurbished products offer tremendous value for money. With new, factory-sealed, factory refurbished, and certified off-lease refurbished items from the world's top manufacturers, we save customers from 10 to 70 percent on their purchases! OEM Direct relationships afford us the opportunity to buy the best products in volume, and pass the savings on to customers. It's our goal to provide the aggressive pricing along with superior customer service for mobile computing products. In our opinion, refurbished or reconditioned computers and peripherals offer the best values in computers today.

What gets a computer qualified as "refurbished" or "re-manufactured"?
There are many reasons a computer may be designated "refurbished" or "re-manufactured". Consumer protection laws prevent computer manufacturers from selling anything that has been repaired even slightly, as "new". Here are a few examples:

  • The OEM sent the product out as a demonstration unit, or for a client's evaluation.
  • There is no problem with the equipment, but the box was opened.
  • The product was shipped to a customer who returned or exchanged it for another unit.
  • A component in the unit needed to be replaced, or software/drivers were incorrectly installed. This can happen to an entire "build" of otherwise perfect computers. They could be sitting in a warehouse when the problem is discovered. But once they are called back from the distribution channel and the problem is rectified they can't be called new.
  • Lease returns that have been fully tested and recertified. Off-lease and used recertified computers may show signs of normal usage unless noted otherwise.

How can I be sure I'm not getting a "lemon"?
In most cases, refurbished or recertified equipment has a much lower failure rate than new because the computers have been checked and tested more thoroughly than new equipment. You can buy refurbished equipment with confidence. For more info, please read our return policy.
